A MAY WORKSHOP WITH KAREN K. STONE WILL BE SPONSORED BY QUILTER'S EMPORIUM. Information about the workshop may be obtained from Quilter's Emporium. It will be a full day workshop to be held on Thursday, May 6. Register at Quilter's Emporium. MAY WORKSHOP—Bring a lunch, your favorite project, or come ready to help with Quilts for the Heart projects. Get to know your fellow members—FREE JUNE WORKSHOP – Add more precision to your piecing! WITH Kate Ackley $20 In Kate's workshop you will have a chance to learn to use rubber stamps to \provide more precision than paper piecing or tracing from a template. Using this method is very accurate and easy to do. You will also learn hand piecing. You can go to Kate's web site and see more. www.ByKate.com. We will be learning to make a Grandmother's Flower Garden block the easy way. SUPPLIES REQUIRED 1 Hexagon or other Stamp, Pre-inked Stamp Pad (please not that these can be purchased at the workshop or you can simply use shared ones. No purchase is necessary) Scrap of one color for center of flower - about 2 1/2" square Scrap at least 3" x 16" print fabric for 6 hexagons for inner petals Scrap at least 6" x 16" coordinating print fabric for 12 hexagons for outer petals White/Natural color cotton at least 9" x 22" for 18 hexagons for background Neutral cotton sewing thread A few glass head ins Sharps (applique) needles size 11 or Betweens needles size 9 Thimble Fabric scissors reclosable plastic sandwich bags Please call Carol Ann with any questions 281-762-3590 |
